Approximately 50% of adult Australians do not have a Will or do not have a valid Will.  This is a staggering statistic considering that a Will is such an important legal document which will ensure that your assets are distributed according to your wishes after you die.

If you die without having made a Will, your assets will be distributed according to a statutory formula provided by law.  Without a valid Will, you effectively surrender your right to distribute your estate.

As Wills vary in there complexity the legal costs of their preparation differ depending on what your individual requirements and circumstances are.  Martin Law will discuss with you at your initial appointment what the costs are involved in preparing your Estate documents.

Once you have made a Will you are free to alter your Will at any time and as often as you like.  Your circumstances can change significantly over time so it is advisable to review your Will regularly.

If you wish to have your Estate documents prepared or deceased estate administered or have any questions regarding an Estate Law matter, please contact Martin Law Solicitors on 07 3256 0747 to make an appointment and discuss your matter.  Home visitations are part of our service.
